We are still fighting the cold this week - along with more snow! Still keeping busy though.

Bitter cold progress
Even though Mother Nature gave us a challenging frigid week last week, the guys were still here working on everything they could!

Happy Thanksgiving!
The new PatriotII is coming together, quite literally. The owner was here just last week to see her progress. The cockpit liner is in along with fuel tanks, the head, hanging locker, vberth, and galley cabinets. The windshield has now been permanently attached to the cabin top as have the bow rail and varnished teak hand rails.
It has truly been a busy fall. Most of our crew has been working on the new boat full time with a few of them heading out to haul boats for the winter.
We are thankful for the busy year that we've had which we wouldn't have had without our customers and their loyalty! Thank You!

She's looking like a Boat!
Progress on the new boat this week included finishing the stringers and cross bracing as well as adding bulkheads to the hull. As you can see below, the top deck is fitted onto the hull - not for good just yet though. The boat has gone into the oven for post cure before it will come back into the shop.
Along with finishing all of the teak accents, they've been preparing the windshield for sealer and varnish as well.

Teak Teak Teak
Along with working on the stringers and cross bracing in the hull this past
week, we’ve been working on the teak accents.
Our Patriots come standard with varnished teak hand rails, toe rails and
varnished teak cap. This Patriot II will
have all of the above plus a teak deck and varnished teak windshield and coamings. Lots of Teak!

Fall is making the Approach
Indoor Storage
We've already had several requests for winter work as well as storage. Last winter season we were over capacity resulting in some of the boats being stored in the shop. We are asking that if you would like to store with us to please let us know!

New Patriot II
The Patriot II incorporates a change to the hull - we've put a plug in the mold (shown below) to create a shallow tunnel. This will allow for a flatter shaft angle thereby giving it the ability to navigate shallower waters. The patriot currently draws 34", we're approximating the Patriot II to draw 24". A difference that matters in many of the Bay's shallower waters.

Deliveries, Service Calls, Exhaust Refits - You Name It
We've had a little bit of everything this week. We've delivered a boat to her owner for the summer season after having to replace the manifolds and risers. The guys are cleaning up another boat to head out for the season next week. We've had a couple of service calls for people who have had some issues out on the water. On thursday we sent a 33' Sea Ray back to New York after sprucing her up from being damaged in superstorm Sandy. Today we're getting another boat from New York to repair some damages that were incurred during Sandy as well. Not to mention we're making steady progress on a new Patriot 29!
