Although we're still launching boats for the season, this week we're featuring some of our ongoing projects. We've got a Downeast Trawler over at the landing in which we recently installed 86 gallon fuel tanks. One had a leak and since they're both the same age, it was decided to replace both of them due to the probable integrity of the second tank. This week we've been able to get the decking back down over top of the tanks. The Teak & holly will be glued down with epoxy and sealed before being varnished to give it a finished look.

Another ongoing project a water issue around an engine box. Because of the design, water was getting trapped between the engine box and under the surrounding trim. Bill has been working on pulling up the wooden trim so that he can put a fiberglass piece down which will prevent water from being trapped and running into the engine box.
